So while not a textbook, it's... I don't know what you call it. I had absolutely no say in the matter, this is how it works for trade publications in the library sciences. While I'd love to have self-published [because I bet I could find a lot of people who would have loved to buy this book] I can't say that I would have ever stuck to a deadline or actually written it if nt for having a real publisher and editor.
