I've had this barn for about five years. I still live in Seattle, but am slowly shifting eastward. I'll be out for the summer of '03. This place is perfect, yet my place in Seattle is also perfect. I was here for four months in Fall '99 and slept like I haven't slept in years. It's in West Topsham, population 150.

I got the barn, and attached house from a friend of mine from college who was moving to Norway with his new Norwegian wife. He left his baby grand piano, and he's got ten acres here to come back to whenever he wants. There's a well out back, a mom n' pop phone company, and I just last month got a street number for the place, though you can still reach me at PO Box 14.
